Best, Kathinka

Kathinka Best is research assistant at the Department of Gender- and Diversity-Management in Organisations at Berlin Institute of Technology (TUB), Germany. She is working in a joint TUB-Fraunhofer research centre led by Prof. Dr. Martina Schraudner.

After studying Philosophy & Economics (BA) in Bayreuth and Warsaw (with a DAAD scholarship), Kathinka Best completed her Master in Economics & Management Sciences (MSc) at Humboldt University of Berlin, with a focus on economics and quantitative methods. Her master thesis dealt with the success and satisfaction of STEM women.

Kathinka Best was an intern at several corporations, such as Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, KPMG Poland and Stollberg do Brasil. As PhD candidate she enjoys teaching responsibilities and oversees the European gender-equality project GeCo for TUB. Additionally, she is assisting the Total E-Quality awarding process (gender-equality award) and supporting the Fraunhofer project "Changing corporate cultures -Avoiding break-ups of female careers". Her research interests are the 'Interrelations of Diversity (Management) and Innovativeness'. Next, Kathinka will be working in a research team analysing the organisational cultures of German research organisations.
