Leicht Scholten, Carmen

Carmen Leicht-Scholten is professor for 'Gender and Diversity in Engineering' at the faculty of civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Since May 2012, Prof. Leicht-Scholten is Dean of Study Affairs of the faculty of civil engineering. She is member of numerous national and international advisory boards, for example, the strategy council 'Diversity” of the Austrian Ministry for Science and Research, at the EU as well as the 'Women’s Research Network NRW'. From 2010 until 2011, Prof. Leicht-Scholten held a visiting professorship in 'Gender and Diversity Management in Engineering' at the Technical University Berlin. From 2007 until 2010, she was head of the scientific unit 'Integration Team, Human Resources, Gender and Diversity Management' (IGaD) at RWTH Aachen University. Her research focuses are gender and diversity in scientific and technical research, gender and diversity in (scientific) organisations as well as gender and diversity in engineering.
