5th Network Gender & STEM Conference 2020

The Network Gender & STEM Conference 2020 will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020 – Saturday, August, 1, 2020 at the University of Sydney – Camperdown Campus. The 2020 Network conference represents a partnership with the STEM Teacher Enrichment Academy to bring together researchers, educators, policymakers, industry representatives and the public to interrogate person-in-context influences towards, or away from, diverse STEM pathways across stages and settings. FACEBOOKGROUP

The network has started open an ‘only for members’  Facebook group where network members can exchange relevant research results and discuss them among each other. In this way we hope the exchange of information will become more ‘dynamic’ and that it will open discussion on how research results could be integrated in new approaches to improve the underrepresentation of girls/women in STEM. Members of the network are invited to join.

Special issue International Journal of Gender, Science and Technology

We are delighted to announce the publication of a Special Issues of the International Journal of Gender, Science and Technology entitled ‘Gendered motivation and choice in STEM - individual and contextual factors’, that was produced in association with Network Gender and STEM and Guest Editors Helen Watt, Rebecca Lazarides and Angela Ittel following the 2nd Network conference. The special issue part I will be published this month (July 2015). Part II will be published in the fall of this year (2015).
